Originally created as a project for a Museum installation which takes Rossettis Victorian painting Venus Verticordia (The Changer of the Heart) as a starting point, the piece has evolved and transformed into what is now an audiovisual short story, a 3D postcard.
In Changer of the Heart, writer/singer Véronique Orange Joly, guitarist Rob Palmer and photographer Patricia Curtis combine shimmering soundscapes with song, spoken text and photography to take us on a journey of discovery: from cityscapes to inscapes, from closed-in spaces to open pathways, we travel off-frame, re-visiting a mythical place where everything has been kept intact. Here, where past meets present, the female characters goddess-like beauty is revealed in an interplay of words, sounds and multi-layered images, which unmask the beauty of Creation.
